Matthias Scheffler is a German theoretical physicist born on June 25, 1951, in Berlin. His research primarily centers around condensed matter theory.

Research and Affiliations

Dr. Scheffler serves as the Director of the NOMAD Laboratory at the Fritz Haber Institute (FHI) of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft and the IRIS-Adlershof of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The NOMAD Laboratory, located at the FHI, is his specialized research group that investigates thermal and electrical transport properties through computational approaches. Additionally, he holds an affiliation with the Physics Department and IRIS Adlershof at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
